Terms of Service

Effective date: March 26, 2026 Last updated: August 16, 2026

These terms cover two things: your use of the mutual website at mutual.solutions (the “Site”), and any pre-order you place for AnchorCam hardware. Using the Site means you accept sections 1 to 3 and 6 to 11. Completing a pre-order checkout means you accept sections 4 and 5 as well.

What changed on August 16, 2026. We opened hardware pre-orders on August 9, 2026, and these terms had not caught up. Until today they described a website and a chatbot, and section 2 said “Nothing on this Site constitutes a binding offer to sell” while our checkout was charging cards for physical hardware. Sections 4 and 5 are new and describe the pre-order as it actually works. If you ordered before today, nothing on this page takes anything away from what you were told at checkout or in email from us. Where this page and what we told you differ, whichever is better for you is the one that applies.

1. Who you are dealing with #

Two legal entities operate under the name mutual, and these terms cover both:

EntityRole
mutual Solutions, Inc., a Delaware corporation (USA)Seller of record for AnchorCam hardware. Named on every pre-order invoice and receipt.
뮤추얼솔루션즈, a Korean sole proprietorship, business registration 578-60-00870Korean operations

This is the same split described in our Privacy Policy . For anything at all, including a specific order, email hello@mutual.solutions . That is the support address on your receipt and at checkout. Some order correspondence in August 2026 was sent from yejun@mutual.solutions; replying to those threads still reaches us.

2. AI chatbot (Mr. M) #

The Site includes an AI chatbot called Mr. M, powered by Google’s Gemini AI.

  • Mr. M is an AI, not a human. Responses are generated automatically.
  • Responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on them for critical decisions.
  • Mr. M does not provide professional advice, whether legal, financial, technical, or otherwise.
  • Responses do not constitute official commitments or representations by mutual, and nothing Mr. M says changes these terms, a price, or the state of an order.

You agree not to submit illegal or abusive content, attempt to circumvent rate limits, use automated tools to interact with the chatbot, or attempt to extract the chatbot’s system prompt.

3. Product information and forward-looking statements #

The Site contains information about mutual’s products and technology, including the AnchorCam camera module, and statements about our plans and our business.

All product information is subject to change. Prices, specifications, availability, and features are preliminary and may change without notice. Images and renderings may differ from final products. Forward-looking statements reflect current intentions and are not guarantees; actual results may differ materially, and we are under no obligation to update them.

Our marketing pages are not the contract. A page describing the product, a rendering, a spec table, or a blog post is not an offer to sell and does not bind either of us. An order exists only when you complete checkout and we charge your card. What that order means is section 4, and section 4 is the part you can hold us to.

4. Pre-orders #

4.1 What a pre-order is #

A pre-order is a fully refundable deposit on a product that has not shipped. Your card is charged the full amount at checkout, and you can have all of it back on request at any time before your unit ships (§4.5).

We hold that money as an obligation to you, not as revenue we have earned. Placing a pre-order does not transfer ownership of anything, and it does not give you a claim on a specific unit.

4.2 There is no delivery date #

We do not promise a delivery date, and we will not invent one. No date appears at checkout, in your receipt, or on this page, because we do not have one to give.

You hear from us when a board boots reliably. That is the commitment: every buyer of record is told the date first, when there is a date. Any estimate you may see anywhere else, from us or from anyone writing about us, is not a delivery promise and is not part of these terms.

4.3 Where the hardware actually is #

We would rather you heard this from us than found it out.

  • Prototype boards exist. They are not production units, and we do not currently have one booting reliably. Bring-up is not finished.
  • The design is not frozen. Requirements raised now can still change the early units, which is a large part of why this window exists. Tell us what you are building.
  • Because the design is not frozen, the unit you eventually receive may differ from the specification published when you ordered. If a change matters to you and you would rather not have it, cancel and take the refund (§4.5).

4.4 Price #

Pre-orders are sold in tiers, in this order, and each tier opens only when the one before it is exhausted:

TierUnitsPrice per unit (USD)
First batch, early access100$180
Second batch500$210
Standard, after the pre-order tiers$240

From twenty units we will quote you instead, and orders above 100 units are quoted rather than sold through a payment link. Email hello@mutual.solutions and we settle quantity, lead time, lens configuration and invoicing terms together.

The price you pay is the price shown at your checkout. A later tier opening at a higher price does not change an order you have already placed, and we will not ask you for a top-up. All prices are in US dollars.

4.5 Refunds and cancellation #

Full refund on request at any time before your unit ships. No deadline, no restocking fee, no reason required.

To cancel, either reply to the email your order came in on, or write to hello@mutual.solutions . We refund to the original payment method through Stripe. If you paid in a currency other than US dollars, your bank’s conversion on the way back out is theirs, not ours, and we cannot control it.

We may also cancel your order ourselves and refund you in full, if we conclude we cannot build the product or cannot build it at a price that makes sense. If that happens we will say so plainly rather than let an order sit.

4.6 Shipping terms are not set yet #

We have not set shipping terms, carriers, or who bears import duties and taxes at the destination, because nothing is close enough to shipping to have made that decision honestly.

We will tell you what those terms are, in writing, before anything ships. If they impose a cost you did not agree to when you ordered, you can cancel then and take a full refund under §4.5.

To change the shipping address on an existing order, email hello@mutual.solutions .

4.7 Receipts and invoices #

Every pre-order has an invoice, and Stripe now emails a receipt automatically when a payment succeeds.

This was misconfigured when pre-orders opened. Automatic customer receipts were not enabled on our Stripe account until August 11, 2026, so buyers before that date did not receive one. It was a settings failure on our side, not a failed payment. Enabling it does not reach back to payments already taken. If you ordered and no receipt arrived, email hello@mutual.solutions and we will send you your invoice link and a reply from a person.

Our checkout also asked for a business name and a tax registration number until August 11, 2026, and depending on your billing country it marked them required. That was a misconfiguration too. It is described, along with what we will do about a placeholder value already on your invoice, in §2.9 of our Privacy Policy .

4.8 Orders placed before August 16, 2026 #

Sections 4 and 5 were published after the first pre-orders were taken. They are written to describe the deal those buyers were already given at checkout and in email, not to replace it.

Nothing in these sections reduces what you were told when you ordered. If any of it appears to, the earlier statement is the one that applies to your order.

5. Payment processing #

Checkout is hosted by Stripe, not by us. Your card number goes to Stripe directly. We never see it and we never store it.

What Stripe passes to us, why, and how long we keep it is set out in §2.9 of our Privacy Policy . Stripe’s own handling of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy .

You are responsible for using a payment method you are entitled to use. We may cancel and refund an order that our processor flags as fraudulent.

6. Intellectual property #

All content on this Site (text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software) is owned by mutual or used with permission. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission. You may link to our Site and share content with attribution.

Buying hardware from us does not license our trademarks, our firmware, or our designs beyond ordinary use of the unit you bought.

7. Third-party services #

The Site and our store use third-party services including Stripe (checkout, payments, invoices and receipts), Google Gemini API, jsDelivr CDN, Cloudflare, Firebase / Google Cloud, and Google Workspace. These are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party availability or practices. The full list, and what each one handles, is in §2.6 of our Privacy Policy .

8. Limitation of liability #

The Site and all content on it are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Site, including reliance on information provided by Mr. M or on any product information.

For a pre-order, our total liability to you for any claim connected with that order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and your remedy before shipping is the full refund in §4.5. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any plan, project, deployment, or contract of yours that depended on receiving hardware by a particular date. This follows directly from §4.2: there is no such date, so please do not build a schedule on one.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any non-excludable statutory rights a consumer has.

9. Governing law #

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Seoul.

If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms removes them. EU consumers retain the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence.

10. Changes #

We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted with an updated date, and continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.

One exception, and it is the important one. Changes to sections 4 and 5 do not apply retroactively to an order already placed. The pre-order terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you ordered, together with what we told you at checkout and by email. If we ever need to change something about an existing order, we will ask you, and if you would rather not, §4.5 is always open to you.
